I suspect Justin to be a classic first child, which would entail an over-developed sense of responsibility, a need for approval and excessive deference to authority. However he has “flash”, which is irresistable to the Party in their present circumstance. Presumably some rainmaker has sensed this mutual psychopathy and has convinced Justin that it is both his destiny and his duty to run. If this is true, your excoriation of the Party should be redoubled for this act of exploitation.
